How Grindx handles your data.

Overview

Grindx does not require an account or password. You can use Clips, Poses, and Plaza without creating a login. We do not operate a public cloud profile for you.

This policy describes information the app stores locally, permissions it may request, Apple In-App Purchases for coins, and how to reach us.

Data stored on your device

Grindx keeps your skate work in on-device storage, including:

• Imported clips, still frames, cover frames, and project titles
• Pose stamps such as Regular or Goofy, board angle, difficulty, hazard, captions, and short voice callouts
• A local creator name and a random author key used to mark your own Plaza posts
• Favorite post IDs, blocked author keys, and reported post IDs
• Coin balance, honored purchase IDs, weekly practice reminder preference, and Plaza guideline acceptance

This information is used to run the app on your iPhone. It is not uploaded to a Grindx account server.

Plaza snapshots

Plaza is an in-app feed for hobby snapshots. There is no chat, messaging, or meet-up feature.

If you publish a post, Grindx stores a snapshot that may include your creator name, stance details, caption, timestamp, and the frozen image you chose to share. Posts cannot be edited after publishing. You may delete your own posts.

Report hides a post on your device and flags it for review in the app’s moderation flow. Block stops showing another author’s posts on your device.

Permissions

Grindx asks for access only when you use a related feature. You can refuse a permission and keep using the rest of the app.

• Camera. Capture quick skate reference clips and burst stills for the scrub rail.
• Photo Library. Import clips and stills, and save HD stance cards or GIFs after a successful export.
• Microphone. Record short spoken callouts attached to a frozen stance frame. Grindx does not transcribe speech by default.
• Notifications. Optional Sunday practice reminders. You can turn this off in Me.

Coins and purchases

Optional coin packs are sold through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes payment. Grindx does not collect your card number, Apple ID password, or billing address.

After Apple confirms a purchase, Grindx adds coins to the on-device balance. Coins can be used for extra frames and exports. Clear All Data does not reset coins.

Tracking transparency

iOS may show an App Tracking Transparency prompt. Grindx may use this identifier to deliver personalized features and optimize the app experience. You can decline and still use every feature. You can change this later in iOS Settings.

Grindx does not sell your personal information. We do not use Plaza or your clips to build an advertising profile.

Children

Grindx is a skate tool, not a social network for children. It is not directed at children under 13. Do not provide personal information about a child through Support email if you can avoid it.

Keeping or clearing data

Because most data lives on your device, deleting the app removes local projects, poses, Plaza activity, and preferences stored by Grindx.

In Me, Clear All Data removes your projects, poses, and Plaza activity, then restores the original demo feed. You will need to agree to Plaza guidelines again. Coins are not reset.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of Grindx after an update means you have had a chance to review the new terms here.
